WHAT IS TUXEDO COURTS?

We are a local group that created a shared-use space to assist local sport organizations with their growth.

Our mission statement is “BUILDING SPORT THROUGH RELATIONSHIPS IN OUR COMMUNITY”.

Tuxedo Courts offers 2 high school basketball courts, 2 full-size university volleyball courts, 4 junior high volleyball courts, and 5 pickleball courts all lined on the floor.

OPEN GYM.

We will be completing our annual maintenance on our hardwood courts and will not be running any OPEN GYM times from Friday, June 21 to Monday, July 1.

Tuxedo Courts runs OPEN GYM for athletes of all ages to participate in their sport. The gym is staffed and available for basketball to shoot around, play pickup games, and any other basketball drills/skills. Volleyball can also be played during our OPEN GYM times.

Please keep following both our Instagram and Facebook posts and stories for the most updated information regarding our OPEN GYM times.

If one of our OPEN GYM times reaches max capacity - we will post a story on Instagram and FB to notify our followers.

Drop-in cost is $8 (tax included). The cost is $5 for one hour OPEN GYM times.

Memberships are available for unlimited access to our OPEN GYM times. Cost is $50 plus GST.

HOOPS IN THE HEAT 2024

Date: JULY 2-5, 2024

Time: 9 AM TO 3 PM. LUNCH 12-1 PM.

Age: GRADES 3 TO 8

Who: BOYS AND GIRLS

Cost: $315 total - includes tax.

Camp Inclusions: Fundamentals of shooting, layups, ballhandling, and passing. Drills and skills will be loaded to the ability of the players into more difficult skills and higher level concepts as appropriate. Skills will be developed early on, repeated, and challenged with games and competitions. Scrimmages will wrap up the camp which are open to parents. Players will work hard and have fun!

9am-12pm GRADES 6-8 & 1-4pm GRADES 9-12

CAMP DETAILS:

OPEN TO ALL SKILL LEVELS AS CAMPERS WILL BE TIERED FROM BEGINNER TO ADVANCED.

INCLUSIONS: SKILL DEVELOPMENT FROM FUNDAMENTALS TO HIGH LEVEL SKILLS. DRILLS, FUN GAMES, COMPETITIONS, AND SCRIMMAGING.

WHO: TWO GROUPS. GRADES 6-8. 9am-12pm & GRADES 9-12. 1-4pm

WHERE: TUXEDO COURTS - 1575 ELLIOTT STREET, REGINA, SK.

COST: $160 PER CAMPER (includes tax)

MEET JONATHAN & BRENNAN:

Jonathan is currently playing professional in Denmark. He grew up in Moose Jaw and played for Central Collegiate. After one year with Briercrest he played four years for Mount Royal at the USPORT level. He played for the 2014 Canadian Junior National Team and was the 21U Sask Volleyball Male Athlete of the Year. He previously was the head coach of the Harvest City Senior Boys volleyball team.

Brennan played 5 years of USPORT volleyball and was the University of Regina Cougars MVP in 2018. He is the current head coach of the Winston Knoll Collegiate volleyball team. He played multiple positions including left side, right side and middle. Brennan has competed in Strongman competitions in the past.

ROOTS GIRLS BASKETBALL CAMP

Roots is excited to once again offer a 4-day girls basketball camp! Here’s the scoop:

1) We’re all about growing your fundamentals in the game! You’ll receive high-quality instruction, lots of guided skill practice with feedback to help you develop your skills, and, of course, game-time! We hit the essentials hard, and we’ll give you lots of time to practice your skills in game situations.

2) You can expect us to bring the ENERGY! Our coaching team takes pride in creating a supportive and positive environment everyday! We love the game, and we love helping you become the best you can be!

3) Be ready for loads of FUN! All of your Roots favorites will be back: the Technotronic Gameboard, Spirit Days, Woody (obviously!) and all the cheers (and maybe even a silly song or two?!).

4) Know that we’ll spend time growing your character, too! Our daily “Tree Talks” will help you grow a positive mindset for life on and off the court.

POWER SUMMER CAMP 2024

August 12-16, 2024

@thepowerpeople2018 are back with our one of a kind girls empowerment camp which focuses on our 5 pillars:

Courage - what does it mean to show courage?

Confidence - how we can build confidence?

Support - what does support look like? Feel like?

Power - who has power? What does the use and misuse of power look like? Feel like? How can we challenge power dynamics? What does shared power look like? Feel like?

Resilience - how do we build resilience?

We use Art, Drama, and Sport to reinforce these teachings and put these tools into practice. We want to send our girls back to school with the tools to thrive during the school year
